The Story Behind Ash & Oak

Hello :)  Welcome to Ash and Oak!!  We are glad you are here.  Brian and I have been married for over 12 years and are enjoying life with our six kids and two dogs.  We were one of the first couples to get married on property and never imagined we would one day own and operate this gorgeous venue.

Two years into our family owning the Avon Wedding Barn we started dreaming of opening a second venue.  This venue would be completely different than AWB (modern, black and white, crisp etc..) 

While a second venue is still our dream for the future, we decided to put our energy, heart, and dedication into the place that we’ve loved for over 12 years (The place we got married and the place we have brought our kids back to every year since).

In this new season, Brian and I are stepping into owning and operating the venue we cherish.  With that, we decided it was time to rename the Avon Wedding Barn.  We wanted a name embodying who we are and our vision for the future.

That is where Ash and Oak come in :)  Brian and I are both entrepreneurs.  We both owned businesses before we met (and still do) that have trees as logos. We decided it was only fitting to have a name that included trees. We have always believed  “A life rooted in God stands firm” ~Proverbs 12:3    

Trees meaning:

Ash = connection

Oak = strength/stability

It is our hope that every wedding at Ash and Oak is the beginning of a strong, connected, and beautiful marriage.

We hope that you will come back year after year to the place you got married and reminisce with your own family (as we have done).  We have created community events like the “Festival of Trees”, “Wine and Wreath”, and “Valentine's Dinner/dance” to give you an opportunity to stay connected and make memories.
